What is the process of a vehicle wrap from beginning to end?

  1. The first step is to contact us either by filling out the form above or calling us at (239) 327-6032. Whether you call or submit details via the form, once we have a rough idea of your vehicle(s), timeline, and design needs we will give you an initial estimate. This initial estimate is subject to change after we’re able to see and measure your vehicle in person.
  2. If you wish to proceed, we will have you bring your vehicle to our location in Cape Coral, FL where we will measure your vehicle and ensure there is no damage or modifications to the vehicle that may hinder us from wrapping it. This takes approximately 30 minutes. You can choose to leave your vehicle with us or you can wait for 30 minutes until we’re done measuring and take it with you.
  3. We will contact you within 24 hours after this on-site visit with a formal quote for your vehicle(s). If you wish to proceed, there is a $250 non-refundable down payment (this will go toward your overall payment) before design work begins.
  4. Once payment is received, we will connect you with one of our professional graphic designers in order to get the design process started.
  5. Once the design is finalized, we will contact you to schedule an installation date. Before we print your design and schedule an installation date, the balance of the formal quote will be due. Once paid, this is non-refundable.
  6. On your scheduled installation date, you will bring your clean vehicle to our facility. We will then install your vinyl wrap. This process usually takes 24-72 hours although most vehicles are ready the next business day after they are dropped off. Please note that there is a small charge for washing vehicles that arrive unwashed.
  7. Congratulations! We will call to confirm when your vehicle is ready and you can pick up your newly wrapped vehicle! We’ll have you sign a few final papers and you should be ready to go!

How long do wraps last?

Vehicle wraps typically last about 3-5 years. However, its lifespan largely depends on the elements and conditions the wrap is exposed to on a daily basis. A vehicle wrap that is only in the sun for part of the day will last longer than one that is exposed to the sun for extended periods of time. Similarly, extremely different climate differences between cities (think New York vs. Miami for example) will impact the lifespan of your wrap. Nonetheless, the wrap is engineered to withstand any weather condition including rain, snow, heat, and cold. If maintained properly, a vehicle wrap can last longer than 8 years. If exposed to harsh elements for long periods of time, the lifespan of your wrap will be shorter.

How long does it take to wrap my vehicle?

The actual wrapping of a standard vehicle can be done in 1-3 business days, but the full process will vary due to the different steps in the process. The design portion can take anywhere from a couple days to a couple weeks, depending on the complexity and scope of your design/project. Printing and installation typically each take 1 business day. Thus, the total process usually takes a couple weeks from start to finish, but can be done in as little as 3 business days in an ideal scenario.

What material is the wrap?

The material used for our car wraps is called 3M 180C. It is a cast vinyl and is incredibly durable. It can withstand high and low temperatures, and can conform to different shapes and contours. 3M is a leading supplier of wrap materials. When comparing quotes, we highly recommend that you confirm whether other companies are using 3M materials -- many shops will use cheaper materials that will provide a cheaper price upfront but result in disappointing long-term results.

What is the warranty on the wrap?

The wrap comes with a 1 year manufacturer’s warranty that protects against any manufacturer defects.

How do I care for my vehicle wrap?

Vehicle wraps are made of a heavy-duty 3M vinyl. Keeping your wrap clean and free of dirt or grime will help preserve and prolong the life of your wrap. The recommended cleaning method is to handwash your wrap, although you can take your wrapped vehicle through a car wash. See the next question for details on car washes. When handwashing, use wet, non-abrasive detergent for best care. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Then use a silicone squeegee and/or a clean microfiber cloth to dry and prevent water spotting.

What factors into the pricing of a vehicle wrap?

When paying for your vehicle wrap, you are primarily paying for three things: printing, material, and labor. There are different factors that affect each one of these. Larger vehicles cost more than smaller vehicles. Vehicles that require more attention and labor such as ones with more curves or intricate details will cost more. And of course, the number of vehicles will affect the cost as well.

Can my vehicle wrap go through a car wash?

Yes, your wrapped vehicle can technically go through a car wash, but as mentioned above, your wrap will last longer if hand washed--hand-washing is the recommended maintenance method. Taking your vehicle through a machine car wash will void your warranty. If you do choose to take it through a car wash be sure to avoid high powered pressure washers and thick bristles. Brushless car washes are best for vinyl wraps. Use of brush car washes may cause negative effects on your vehicle wrap such as dulling, scratching or lifting the edge of your graphics.

Do wraps cover the windows?

By law, we cannot cover your windows with a wrap. However, we can put a perforated car window decal (one-way visibility for windows) on any windows excluding the front windshield. If you’re interested in maintaining that wrapped look all around your vehicle, we’ve got you covered.

Do wraps cover the headlights?

No, by law we cannot cover the headlights and/or taillights of your vehicle. The wrap will be cut out around any lights your vehicle may have.

What parts of the vehicle are covered by the wrap?

The vinyl wrap can cover any part of your car that is already covered in paint. This includes doors, roof, hood, bumper, and any other miscellaneous parts covered in paint. As mentioned above, windows can be covered by a perforated window decal.

What parts of the vehicle aren’t covered by the wrap?

By law we cannot cover the windows or headlights with the vinyl wrap. We can cover the windows with a perforated window decal. Typically, wraps do not adhere well to porous surfaces such as trim made of plastic or rubber. A full wrap will cut out around the trim areas of the vehicle.

Can you wrap vehicles beyond cars, trucks, etc?

Yes! We can cover a wide variety of vehicles, from cars to semi-trucks to trailers. If you have other questions regarding a different wrap, feel free to reach out to our customer service team

Can I put text on my wrap?

Absolutely! Your design is completely customizable. You can put as much or as little text as you would like. If you do include text, be sure to make it large enough that people can read it as you drive by. After all, one of the biggest reasons for getting a vehicle wrap is increased visibility for your brand or business!

Do vehicle wraps chip like paint?

Vehicle wraps do not chip. As a matter of fact, they help protect your paint from chipping! However, they can peel if not properly maintained or if your vehicle is involved in an accident. Another nice thing about wraps is that they can be replaced in pieces. For example, if just the portion on the bumper is peeling, it can be replaced without replacing the entire wrap--saving you money, while maintaining the clean, professional look of your graphic.

Can I remove my car wrap?

Yes, although we recommend using a professional to remove it. If not done correctly, removing a car wrap can damage your vehicle’s paint. If you would like professional services to remove your vehicle wrap, give us a call

What is the benefit of wrapping a vehicle vs. painting it?

The biggest benefit of a vinyl wrap is the full customization. With a wrap, you can customize different colors, text, designs, etc. If you’re looking to do a simple paint change from red to blue, for example, a paint job may be cheaper. Another added benefit is the visibility a custom car wrap provides for your business. Numerous studies have shown that vehicle advertising is a very cost-effective way of reaching customers--another advantage to consider when wrapping your company’s vehicle or fleet.

Are there seams in the wrap?

Yes. The wrap is not large enough to cover an entire vehicle in one piece. We print multiple pieces to cover your vehicle and then overlap them so there are no spaces between each piece. If you look close enough, you will be able to see the seams, but the designs on each piece will line up together and the seams will not be noticeable from a normal viewing distance.

Do wraps damage the paint on my vehicle?

Assuming the integrity of paint on your vehicle is not compromised--no chips, scratches, etc. The wrap will not damage the paint. If damage were to occur, it would not happen upon installation, but upon removal of the graphic. If your paint is already peeling, the wrap will likely peel off more paint when it is removed. We make sure to inspect every vehicle we install a graphic on and will advise you if there are any issues with the paint of your vehicle.

Do I need to wash my vehicle before installation?

Yes! Please bring in a clean vehicle. Simply take it to an automatic car wash immediately before coming in to ensure the vehicle is clean. There is a $50 fee for cars that are dropped off without being cleaned.
